Greetings from

President Stephanie Lee

Welcome to the official website of the Baltimore Chapter of the Continental Societies, Inc., that was chartered in June 1955 by sixteen (16) women who had a vision to support unserved children in the Baltimore Community. The chapter was organized by Helen Gattis, Helen Quarles and Lillie Branch. The Washington, D.C. Chapter was our Sponsoring Chapter. The Baltimore Chapter was one of the original three (3) chapters that formed this organization over sixty-seven (67) years ago.  We one of the forty-nine (49) chapters in twenty-one (21) states, District of Columbia, and Bermuda.

Our HEER (Health. Education, Employment, and Recreation) plus Arts and Humanities programs provide services to children in the Baltimore Metropolitan Communities by sponsoring activities. We have provided more than $200,000.00 in college scholarships to student from Baltimore City and County Public and Private Schools since 1994. We have also supported the Maryland Educational Opportunity Center and United Negro College Fund. Other Programs include Red Ribbon Campaign, African American Read-In, Good Health WINs, Asthma Awareness, Oral Health Colgate Brite Smiles utilizing the Colgate Van, Obesity Prevention, and Literacy Development.

Our mission is “to create environments within our communities that empower children to have access to quality and appropriate opportunities to reach their optimal potential.”

We invite you to follow us on Facebook and Instagram. Please continue to visit our site regularly for programs and upcoming events.

We appreciate and value your support!
